Saxophone Quintet, 4 p.m.

A newly formed saxophone quintet, whose members are Antonio Bermudez, Charley Fogel, Fumin Yang, Charlie Dharapak and Barney Rush, will perform on Saturday, September 13 and Sunday, September 14. All members play regularly in the Rockville Concert Band and have been rehearsing as a quintet over the summer. The quintet has two upcoming performances:
-- Saturday, September 13, 4 p.m. in the Lee Dennison Garden
-- Sunday, September 14, 4 p.m. in the plaza in front of Anthropologie in Bethesda.
They will play 8 tunes: “In the Mood,” “The Entertainer,” “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “Pink Panther,” "Shenandoah,” “La Vida es Bella,” “You’ve Got a Friend in Me,” and “Looney Tunes” – the last just has to make you smile. Should be fun, and will last about half an hour or so.
