Leaf Collection Begins October 20

Leaf collection from Town streets will begin on October 20 and will continue through late December. Vacuum trucks pick up continuously, street by street, with the goal of collecting leaves on each street once per week.

Guidelines

• Leaves should be raked to the edge of the curb.
• Please make sure that your leaves are not contaminated by cans, sticks, bottles, or rocks.
• After leaf collection ends, leaves should be placed in paper bags or placed in reusable containers for yard trash recycling.

"Leave the Leaves"

Residents are encouraged to "leave the leaves" when practicable. Fallen leaves enrich the soil, shelter beneficial insects and pollinators through the winter, and help retain moisture for tree roots.
