Storm Drain Installation Information

The Montgomery County Department of Public Works and Transportation’s (DPWT) contractor, D&F Construction Co., Inc., is working on a drainage improvement project within the public right of way along Chatham Road from East-West Highway to Meadow Lane.  This project consists of excavating and installing Reinforced Concrete Pipe (RCP) and constructing drainage inlets and manhole structures.  Road work including reconstruction of concrete curb and gutter and asphalt paving is also included.   This project began in late March.  Work hours are from 7:30 am to 6:30 pm. 

 

The County has agreed to extend the new storm system on East Avenue from Ridge Street to Bradley Lane.  This extension requires the relocation of a Washington Gas main, which the Town and County are trying to schedule.  The County will return to East Avenue to complete this portion of the project once the installation on Chatham Road is complete.  We will continue to provide updates on the Town website and in future issues of the FORECAST.  We thank you for your cooperation and your tolerance of any inconvenience this project may cause.  We will work with you to address any construction-related concerns.Contact Information:
