Fight the Flu Clinic - 10/14/2010 (Thu)
MedStar Health Visiting Nurses Association is offering the Flu High Dose for people 65 years and older at the Town's clinic on Thursday, October 14, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Town Hall.
Flu High Dose is recommended for all individuals 65 years and older. It is a double dose of the flu vaccine that has shown to increase protection for the most at risk population. The vaccine gives greater immunity against influenza.
This information was provided to the Town after we had publicized the flu clinic. We did want to contact you before the clinic so, if you would like, you will have time to check with your physician regarding the high dose option.
Center for Medicare have just released their reimbursement schedule. The following are our pricing for Flu HD and Pneumonia effective October 5, 2010.
Flu regular , Flu High Dose and Pneumonia are covered by Medicare Part B
All non- Medicare participants the price is :
Flu High Dose $ 55
Pneumonia $ 65
Flu regular $30
