Tree Removal Extension Hearing - 7200 44th Street - 9/2/2010 (Thu)

A public hearing will be held by the Town’s Tree Ordinance Board in the Town Hall on Thursday, September 2, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. to discuss the request of Dr. Arthur and Linda Schwartz, 7200 44th Street, to extend the timetable by which they must remove a Virginia Redcedar tree on the property and to extend the timetable by which they must plant two required replacement trees.

 

The removal of the tree was conditionally approved by the Town’s Tree Board in a decision (attached) dated September 25, 2008.  The decision required that the tree be removed within two years of the approved decision, and two replacement trees be planted within one year of the approved decision.  The Tree Board may approve the extension if they find that there has been no change of circumstance from the original approval. 

 

The proposed construction of a new house on the property has been delayed, causing a delay in the removal of the tree.  The owners would like to extend the deadline for the planting of the replacement trees until the construction of a new house is substantially complete.

 

At this hearing, Town residents will have an opportunity to express their views regarding this request.
