Appeal of Approved Water Drainage Plan - 7203 Oakridge Avenue - 5/12/2008 (Mon)
A public hearing will be held by the Town Water Board in the Town Hall on May 12, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. to consider the appeal of Jean Shorett concerning the Town engineer’s approval of a water drainage plan submitted in connection with new construction at 7203 Oakridge Avenue.
A revised water drainage plan submitted in connection with the proposed construction of a new house at 7203 Oakridge Avenue was approved by the Town engineer on April 16, 2008. The proposed project would create more than 700 square feet of new impervious surface. As a result, the applicant is required to have an approved water drainage plan, unless a variance is granted, and adhere to other requirements under the Water Drainage Ordinance, Chapter 28 of the Town Code, prior to the granting of a building permit.
Ms. Shorett appeals the Town engineer’s decision to approve the water drainage plan. The Water Board may affirm, reverse, or modify the decision of the Town engineer, or may approve a water drainage plan upon such conditions, terms or restrictions as the Water Board may deem necessary after consideration of the evidence presented on this appeal.
At the public hearing, Town residents will have an opportunity to express their views regarding this appeal request.
