About The Town

The Town of Chevy Chase, incorporated in 1918, is a self-governing municipality located in Montgomery County, Maryland. The incorporated boundaries of the Town extend to East-West Highway on the north, Connecticut Avenue on the east, Bradley Lane on the south and one block east of Wisconsin Avenue on the west.

A five member Town Council, composed of and elected by Town residents, governs the Town.  The Council selects the Mayor.  The Town Manager, appointed by the Council, enforces the regulations of the Town and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the community.

We hope that you enjoy living in the Town.  Add your voice to the governing of the community at the annual meeting held the first Tuesday in May, at the mid-year meeting held in November or at the regular Council meetings held on the second Wednesday of every month in the Town Hall, or consider joining one of the Town's Committees.
