On April 15, the Town sent its response to the initial concept plan for the redevelopment of 7100 Connecticut Avenue. The Town expects a formal response to its letter soon, and the developers will present an updated redevelopment plan on June 2 at 7 p.m. in the Town Hall and by Zoom video conference.
The State Highway Administration conducted a needs analysis for MD 185 (Connecticut Avenue) between Chevy Chase Circle and MD 193 (University Boulevard). Residents are encouraged to review the study and provide input through a survey.
In early April, the Maryland General Assembly earmarked $3.5 million to support the creation of new parks at the Farm Women's Market site. The focus now is on the amount that the County expects to contribute and how the County will memorialize its financial commitment.
The Town office is staffed from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. On other days, staff teleworks. There may be someone to assist on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but please contact the office in advance.
